BRAVE FACE

The inspiring WWII Memoir of a Dutch/German Child

I have been watching Queen Elizabeth since she became a widow and, in my opinion, all the attention and coddling she receives isn’t doing her any good at all. I bet she hates it. I know, as a widow of four years, I would.

The poor dear is being treated like she has already died, but she’s not dead yet. She cannot attend any functions. She’s been advised to stay in bed for two weeks. BORING!
Everybody is talking about her successor, even as arrangements for her funeral are being made. For Pete’s sake!

Guys, the woman is not dead yet. Her husband is, not she. No wonder she slipped out and took a tour around her gardens in her car which, incidentally, she drove herself!

All Queen Elizabeth needs is see life around her. Just looking at people living a normal life. If she can talk to someone about ordinary living, like the weather, the grandkids, and the garden, I expect that would be great.

Hey Royal people, don’t make her more lonely by ‘protecting’ her. Honest, unless you are a widow, you don’t know what it is to be a widow. Widows don’t expect you to solve their problems, just to listen. We know that you cannot bring our husbands back, even if it would be nice.

And, for my children, whatever you do, don’t compare Queen Elizabeth to your mother. I am not that old yet. In fact, I’m a youngster compared to her at a mere 86-years-old.
